Northfield Restaurant

At first glance this place looks like most other diners, with fewer parking options. A couple of things make it stand out from others though. First of all, the funny waitress, not in your face funny, just quick witted and delightful. Then, the fairly extensive menu; I actually didn't look through it as I had a good idea of what I wanted going in but our waitress told us of 3 different soups & some specials, also heard folks around us talking about a variety of options, and I read other reviews which mention many choices. Lastly, and most importantly, the food was so good.

I have breakfast there at least 4 times per week. Good good, good service, good hours, great breakfast. Sue and Vicki are great and attentive. John always finds me a newspaper to read. It is out of my way in morning but worth it for me.  Can't comment about any other meals because this is the breakfast location for me. Prices are reasonable/average for the geographic location. No complaints about anything other than parking can be tough at times.

Solid diner food. Always a great place for a family breakfast. I love their skillets. Really great prices and classic diner service. Love the old school diner counter and booths.

Very cozy and old fashioned...love it! I usually get the Gyro Salas which is huge, but wished they added a little more gyro meat. The Rocky Mountain Skillet is yummy and so is the BLT. The staff is friendly too which is a plus.

Always quick and in my opinion the best chocolate chip pancakes in Chicago.  Not sure how they make them or what is in the batter but they are light, fluffy, large and so so good!

Hello, this is a cozy place, Good food and consistent as well. Friendly staff and owners. Fran and Kelly are wonderful people that serve your food... We always have a great meal and the very generous portions. If you are looking for a quiet place, try Northfields Restaurant.... Enjoy!!!!

We love this diner! Great breakfast, great room, street parking but can find a place to park. Service is quick,coffee is also good.  They have fresh deserts too.
